Frequently Asked Questions About Microblading, Nano, and Ombre
We recommend consultations because we want to make sure that every client has the right information. Without a consultation, a client might not know that their sensitive and thin skin will make microblading less ideal as an option.
It can be confusing to sort through all the information out there about the differences between Microblading, Nano, and Ombre. It can be even more difficult to try to determine on you own which method would be best for you! Your best choice will depend on your skin type, hair growth, medical history, and density of your brows. We recommend coming in for a consultation, even if you feel like you know the answer. We can walk you through the methods, the process, and make a recommendation for you based on all the little details.
We always do two sessions. This allows us to add color very lightly during the first session to see how your skin absorbs the pigment. It's important to go slowly with pigmentation because we never want to make your eyebrows too dark. So in our second session, when we are able to see how much pigment your skin absorbed, we can go back in and fix any missing patches, darken to your desired color, and really craft your perfect brows. The second session is no charge, as both sessions are included in the initial payment.
Again, everyone is different and will see their brows fade at varying paces. Microblading generally had a longevity of about 1 year before it requires a touch-up. With our ombre clients, we usually schedule a yearly touch-up and then check in with the client to see if they think they need that touch-up. Most of our ombre clients go 2-3 years without needing to come in for that appointment.
Our eyebrow services start at $375. This price includes the two sessions. The pricing will vary based on method and the attention that your skin requires. Some people with more sensitive skin will require a longer appointment.
Our touch-ups start at $240 every 2-3 years. The more your color has faded, the more time the touch-up will take, and we charge accordingly. If you schedule a touch-up after your color has completely faded, you're not looking for a touch-up. You're looking to redo the service.
People who lack eyebrow hair often think that microblading is their best choice, but the strokes created during microblading can actually look very unnatural on bare skin. Strokes are created to mimic the natural hairs of the brow, but when they don't have anything to blend into, they can look like they're just stamped onto your forehead. Microblading strokes also have a tendency to fade and bleed outward over time, resulting in thicker lines that look chunky on skin with no hair. In most cases of people without eyebrow hair, we recommend the ombre method.
We require consultations if you have any existing eyebrow scarring. Because it is impossible to predict how your scars may react to the pigment, we have to be very careful. Some people have scars that easily take pigment and end up darker than the rest of their brows, while others have scars that refuse to take any pigment at all. Consultations are very important for all cases of scarring.
Yes, within reason. If the brows were done unevenly by another artist, we may be able to correct and re-balance the brows for you. We are also able to offer color correction if your microblading strokes have faded gray or red. If we are not confident in our ability to fix your brows, we will not offer correction to you. For example, if your color was done too dark by another artist, adding more pigment to it is very unlikely to make anything better.
We require a consultation for correction work so that we can get a background of your previous experience and issues.
We require all of our clients looking for brow pigmentation to come in for a free consultation before their service. This consultation includes a chance to talk to a brow specialist. During this discussion, the specialist will help you decide which method would be best for you based on skin type, hair amount, and medical history. The specialist will then customize three different brow shapes for you to help you decide what you think will be ideal for your everyday life. Finally, the brow artist matches our pigment colors to your hair and skin to select which pigment they would use during the service.
This consultation is entirely free. We do not require you to schedule a service after the consultation. We want you to have all the information you need with no pressure to buy.
If you have any other questions about brow micropigmentation, we encourage you to give us a call or schedule a free consultation.
