Frequently Asked Questions
About Medical Grade Skincare
No. It completely depends on your skin. Our AS consultants are experienced and will customize your regimen of medical grade skincare based on what your skin needs. We carry the best of several medical skin care brands in order to deliver the most effective results.
Medical grade skin care is constantly being researched and tested to ensure customers get proper treatments. These products have higher amounts of active ingredients therefore are more effective in treating your problem areas. Medical grade products are made to penetrate deeper into the layers of your skin, whereas traditional products are only made to treat surface problems.
Chemical peels and injections do temporarily help improve your skin, but what really makes the difference is your daily routine. Experts say that 80% of your skin health is determined by your at-home regimen. Your skin needs constant stimulation to keep up the amazing results you received at your professional spa by using the same medical grade products you get during spa treatments.
Medical grade skincare products are not available over the counter. These products can only be sold in dermatologist offices or esthetician run spas. These professionals are able to advise the user for the best results. We require consultations for these products because we want to make sure you are getting the best possible care. During our consultations we evaluate skin composition, occupation, diet, age, and previous topical medications used to treat skin concerns. All of these factors can affect how your skin interacts with the products in our catalog.
The MD skincare system is specially formulated with highly concentrated active ingredients to help your skin. If you try mixing your old products with our MD products the effects will not be the same and you will not see the improvements. Your consultant will not be able to properly track your product dosage. When you have a problem with your skin, it is harder to determine the cause when you introduce a product outside of the regimen your consultant provides to you.
When you care for your skin with Medical skincare you’re using clinically backed vitamins, acids, and active ingredients that aid in cell turnover, increase collagen, reduce acne breakouts, lighten hyperpigmentation, and reverse the signs of aging. Medical grade skincare does not cure your skin of its issues. It treats and protects your skin to prevent your concerns from becoming worse. We always strongly recommend keeping up with your medical grade skin care regimen. Your consultant will customize a regimen that will balance and regulate your newfound healthy skin. Many OTC skin care options won’t be able to do the same thing and you will most likely end up exactly where you started.
In order for a medical skincare regimen to work, we need to create a long-term, client relationship to analyze the skin through the process. After using the new products for a while, we can analyze how the skin is reacting to the products and adjust dosages where we see fit. Even with higher levels of ingredients in their more pure forms clients will see immediate results after 2 weeks, and long lasting results after 3 months.
Our estheticians attend skincare conventions for medical-grade skincare companies every year to narrow down only the best brands to partner with. We hand-pick the best products for each client based on information discovered during consultations and checkups.
If you have any other questions about our skincare, we encourage you to give us a call or schedule a consultation.
