How do we do it?

It can be hard to know where to start when it comes to skincare, and trying and changing different products can be incredibly expensive. The root of these problems is that the products aren’t designed with long-term care in mind. Once you implement a skincare regimen that is built for your future, those problems will be a thing of the past.

At Aphrodite’s Secret, we start off healing a client’s skin by sitting down with them and discussing their current skin care regimen and what their skin goals are. Some people want to remove their wrinkles; some have persistent acne that doesn’t seem to ever go away. Whatever you want to improve, we can create a solution that will help.

It is important to note, however, that the products and services we offer are not a one-time fix for all your skincare needs, because skincare is not one-size-fits-all. They are designed for people who know that healthy skin takes time, but is achievable through a customized daily routine.

We will come up with a customized skincare plan with some of the products that we trust more than anything else on the market. The products from the companies we partner with have been tested and researched extensively, so we know they will work. Keep in mind that there may be some trial and error, as many things can affect the overall result of the routine.

What should be expected during a skin consultation?

One of the most important things to note is that skincare and the results of it will take time.  Nothing in this line of work comes overnight, so it is important to know that we will do our best to help, but a lot of the work comes from you.

Things such as diet, occupation, lifestyle, location, and daily stressors are just a few things that will impact your personalized skincare plan.  It is important that during your consultation with our estheticians that you inform them of everything that you do and the products you currently use so that they can come up with the best plan that will make sense to your lifestyle and goals.

Do the work for your skin, daily. This means sticking to your routine.  It can be incredibly difficult to start, but once you do, the results will start showing quicker.  We will create the easiest plan for you that fits into your schedule and is simple enough that it won’t take more time than you were already planning on for those morning and evening routines.  But with anything, hard work is necessary to see those changes and those results.

Keep track of your improvement. This is important for both you and your consultant. Progress pictures are a key step in this process because they can show you the changes overtime that you might not notice day-to-day.  That’s why we have frequent check-ins with you to monitor that progress and make changes as necessary.  If we see something is not working, we will immediately change course to get those results we are both looking for.

Maintain your routine. Once you’ve reached your skin goal, it’s important to continue with the regimen that got you there. If you stop, you’ll likely start having the same problems again. Your skin does best with consistent care and products.  Just because your skin is now looking better than before doesn’t mean that it can’t go back to how it was quickly.  Continuous maintenance past expected results is always a must to keep that result from changing.

Q: Why should I choose you for this service or any service?

A: We not only offer a free skin consultation, but we take the time and the effort to create the best plan for you. The products that we give to our clients are hand-picked by our estheticians because we believe that they work. They are researched extensively and tested every year to make sure that we have the best lineup to choose from for you. We also believe in giving information to our clients, so that they best understand how or why certain products will not work for them.

Q: How should I prepare for this service?

A: We ask that when you come for your consultation that you come in with no makeup. This will help our esthetician with seeing what your skin is doing and give the best suggestions. It will also be helpful if you either bring in pictures of the products you are currently using, or if possible, bring them in so that we can see what may or may not be helpful for you.

Q: How long will the service take?

A: Our first skin consultation with you will be anywhere from 30 minutes-1 hour depending on how many questions you may have about your skin.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: The consultation is free. If you choose to purchase any of the products or services we have in-house or online, that will be charged based on the product. After your first consultation, there will be a $30 session charge for follow-up visits. We also give you the ability to join our membership program, which will give you more access to discounts on our services and follow-up sessions.
