Aphrodite's Secret is well trained in all techniques surrounding microblading, however, we recommend the Ombre eyebrow technique for almost all clients.
Ombre is a technique that is less selective in terms of ideal candidacy and can be more successful for those with oily skin, aging skin, acne prone skin, sensitive skin, and even those who have had previous permanent makeup.
Prior to the procedure we will shape and customize your brows to a size and shape that compliments your facial features and brings out your eyes. We will also select a color that best matches your natural complexion and skin tone baring in mind undertones and skin conditions. Ombre does not require any tweezing, waxing, plucking, or shaving of the brows and does not damage the existing brow hair.
Topical anesthetics are applied before and during the procedure to keep pain and discomfort to a minimum. The procedure requires approximately two hours and there is no “down time”. A 2nd Session is required 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure. After that touch ups are recommended yearly to maintain color richness and shape.
Please note: For the first 10-12 days, eyebrows will appear darker, bolder, and thicker due to scab formation and the natural skin healing process of the immune system. This is common and to be expected for all permanent makeup procedures.
Semi-Permanent makeup is NOT recommended for any clients who have the following below:
--Pregnant or nursing
--Diabetic
--Chemotherapy (consult your doctor)
--Viral infections and/or diseases
--Epilepsy
--Pacemaker or major heart problems
--Organ transplant
--Skin irritations or Psoriasis near the treated area (rashes, sunburn, acne, etc.)
--Sick (cold, flu, etc.)
--Botox in the past 2 weeks

Additional Information:
Please be aware that the result of the procedure is depending the following: Medication and health conditions,
Skin Conditions – i.e. oily and poor skin, very dry/flaky skin, sun-damaged skin, loose or laxed skin, Natural skin undertones, Alcohol intake and smoking, General stress, immune system, Poor diet and not following the aftercare instructions, may affect your healed results.
Antacids, thyroid and anxiety medications have been reported as interfering with semi-permanent makeup either by affecting retention or shifting the pigment to an undesirable tone.
Remember, everything we eat and drink have their own chemical structure and the electron ends that are unattached or free, may get attached to others compounds inside the body forming a new molecule that may show a different color spectrum.
With that info, an educated client may have better expectation and know that she / he may need more frequent adjustments that others. The better condition your skin is in, the better the final result will be.
Mature clients may need an additional one to two weeks healing for the final results to appear. The better you take care of your skin and protect it from UV rays, the better the outcome and lifespan of the permanent cosmetic procedures.
After the first day of your microblading service your eyebrows will appear darker this means your scabbing process has begun and your. During this healing process it is natural, as the brows heal and the scabs fall off, that you might find color missing from your brows. This is normal, everyone absorbs color differently and its not irregular for the ink to fade unevenly the firs time around.
The method used by Aphrodite's Secret uses lighter pigments and a natural brow shape during the first session. A new set of brows, especially for clients who have spares brows can be jarring. So, by easing our clients into their new beautiful brows requires a lighter touch. As you get used to them, you might want a more dramatic shape or darker color. This can all be achieved during your 2nd Session.
For clients who decided on a mostly microblading (strokes) technique it is completely normal for the strokes to turn into scabs and fall off leaving a path of missing color. We can always go back with a slightly darker pigment and add to the brow during you 2nd Session.
However, you can always call us, we want to work with you, so you feel confident with your new brows. Feel free to give us a call two weeks after your initial session.

We always strive to make every client as comfortable as possible. Most usually experience minimal to no pain at all. We apply anesthetics both before the procedure and during the procedure to ensure that discomfort is kept to a minimum.
Keep in mind, we like for your eyebrows to look as natural as possible with or without makeup. The skin has a natural cell turn over rate. Meaning your skin sheds and the pigment deposited into your skin can fade overtime depending on your skin type. We recommend coming in for a color boost once a year to keep up the look of your brows. This will limit the use of eyebrow pencils on a daily bases.
Even without touch ups the color can stay on the skin, up to three years depending on your skin type and skin care routine.
There really is no such thing as purely organic pigments. We use both organic and inorganic and organic pigments.
A patch test can be done upon request for allergy check.
The microblading service does not remove your natural hair.
During our consultation we may tweeze stray hairs to shape the brow but we do are best to keep as much natural hair as possible.
Microblading is a manual Microstroking technique used to create the appearance of brow hairs. This yields a realistic and natural result that can give the brow a fuller appearance. This technique enables us to create crisp, fine “hair” strokes that can help to fill in thin brows or brows with bald spots. Best suited for clients who have some brow hair with minimal bald spots and want a natural look.
The combination brow combines the hairstrokes of microblading with the shading of Ombre. This achieves the most natural look possible for the brow with more of a 3D effect. This technique is good for those who have particular emptiness in their brows or patchy spots, and/or for those who just want a fuller looking brow.
Our favorite technique, the ombre eyebrow. This is a machine technique which achieves a natural soft powder look. By brushing the skin with a single nano needle, we build the pigment layer by layer producing a gradient of color from dark to light. This mimics the natural color progression of the brow from the tail and the core to the bulb. Ombre is a technique that is less selective in terms of ideal candidacy and can be more successful for those with oily skin, aging skin, acne prone skin, sensitive skin, and even those who have had previous semi-permanent makeup.
