What is a Lash Lift & Tint?

Lash lifting, also known as a lash lamination, is a process that involves curling the lashes to create a more lifted look, resulting in fuller looking lashes. The lashes are curled around a silicon rod and kept in shape using a setting lotion. This service is frequently paired with an eyelash tint, which also makes the lashes look thicker and fuller by dyeing them darker.
Our service uses keratin infused products to help keep lashes strong. Lash lifts can sometimes dry out lashes with frequent services, but a Keratin lash lift provides additional benefits of nourishment and strengthening. This makes the risk of damage much lower than a typical chemical lash lift, and allows our clients to do lash lifting more frequently!
Is Lash Lifting better than extensions?
We used to offer eyelash extensions, but we don't anymore because of the damage that can be done to your natural lashes over time. Lash lifting is safer and healthier for lashes, and is also lower maintenance than lash extensions!
The upward curl of your lashes after a lift will give them the appearance of added length, without extensions!
While lash extensions are great for creating dramatic thick lashes, we prefer methods that don't damage your lashes! Lash lifting takes care of your natural lashes so that you can see healthy and consistent growth over time.
How long does lash lifting last?
Lash lifting lasts from 6-8 weeks on average, depending on how quickly your lashes grow out.
Once your lashes are lifted, they'll remain curled. However, new lash growth won't be curled. This means that over the weeks, the result will be less dramatic as new lashes grow in straight. It's just like when you get your nails done and the color grows out after a few weeks. The color is still there, but you might need a fill!
After 3-4 weeks, you can use a lash curler at your roots to curl the new lash growth upwards as well. When you do this, your results will look even better than when they were freshly done!
Lash Tinting
Lash tinting makes the lashes look darker. This is great for people who have blonde or very light lashes. Sometimes your lashes aren't actually short, they're just invisible!
We can do black lash tints or brown lash tints, depending on how dramatic or natural you want your lashes to look!
Lash tints are available as an individual service or as an add-on with our lash lifts.
Do I need to add a lash tint to my lift?
Lash lifting can look good without a lash tint, but even better with one!
The lash lifting process can sometimes slightly bleach the lashes to look lighter than usual, and tinting can bring them back to a dark color or make them darker for a more mascara look.
Picture 1 is after our client's lash lift, but before her lash tint. Her lashes still look beautiful, but they have a very light and natural appearance.
In Picture 2, only the left eye's lashes are tinted. You can tell the difference between the left and right side!
In Picture 3, both eyes are tinted and the result is much more dramatic than in Picture 1. This is the goal! We usually recommend people add tints because most people prefer the result in Picture 3 than in Picture 1.
We highly recommend a lash tint with most lash lifts!
If you're not sure whether you want a lash tint, you can always just book for the lift by itself and then check your result after the lift. That's what this client did! She decided she wanted the more dramatic look and we added the tint for her.
